During the week, I attended an event called Reset. My friend LaRay invited me. It was a Legacy Collaboration event built by women for women, and I went with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
I had the opportunity to meet our local Hickory superstar, Kelsie Blevins, who is absolutely beautiful inside and out—a kind, genuine, and God-loving woman. More importantly, I had the privilege of listening to a panel of women share their stories, their experiences, and the legacies they hope to leave behind.
After the event, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what they shared and on the direction of my own life.
For a long time, I thought my purpose was simply to help people buy and sell real estate. But as I reflected, my mission became much clearer.
As a second-generation Hmong American, my mission is to document and share the journey of building generational wealth through real estate, stewardship, and lifelong learning so that others—especially children of immigrants and future generations—can better understand the opportunities available to them.
I don't have all the answers. I'm still learning, growing, and figuring things out along the way. But perhaps that's exactly why the journey is worth sharing.
That night, I went home and completely revamped my blog website.
Not because I wanted a prettier website.
Because I wanted it to reflect a clearer purpose.
I want to document what I'm learning. I want to tell the stories behind the transactions, the investments, the mistakes, and the victories. I want my children and future generations to understand not just what we built, but why we built it.
I left Reset with more than inspiration.
I left with direction.
And now, I move with more purpose.
